Regenerate. Rejuvenate.
Hello fall, my most beloved season with your crisp air and colouring leaves. You promise new life in your shedding of the old. You’re a season that couldn’t feel more appropriate right now.
So, how to welcome you this year? A fall country fair sounds about right:

All summer I’ve been dying to get E on some rides, somewhere. She’s a daredevil, no doubt, and I had an inkling she’d love them. It’s been a busy summer, but this weekend we slowed down, we took our time, we rode our bikes to the fair.

On our way back to our new home the fresh air hit me like a ton of bricks. The corn stalks, the blue sky, Everleigh snoozing behind me in the bike trailer. It all represented a peace I haven’t felt in a long time. And then it appeared out of the corner of my eye. A classic, rustic, beautiful barn beside an old farm house. It was the barn I got married in. And somehow on this weekend, which would have been our fifth wedding anniversary, on this ride, it was ok. It was closure.
